I have been thinking about lipo suction from past three years, I always thought i could get rid of my belly fats, after doing loads of exercise, four hours a day, I started loosing weight but my belly fat didn't go away. I would get very dissapointed when my clothes didn't fit right, not only that, no matter how much I workout I look like those who hated Gyms.

After reading reviews I have decided to have smartlipo done.

Today is my third day and so far only 3 inches gone from abs.My waistline was 40 inches now it's 37. I will post some pics, before and after soon.

Today is my 5th day. so far only 1 inch lesser. they took 9 lbs fat, but just started to wonder is 9 lbs is only equal to 1 inch. hmmm! I tought 3 inches but I forgot i was wearing tights that doc's provided. Not too positive at this point, but I will keep you all posted

I am about 10 days after having SmartLipo on my upper and lower abs, love handles, and chin. Before procedure I was 5' 4 1/2" and weighed 147lbs, with measurements of 40-39-40 (yes, that's right). My waist was only one inch smaller than my chest & hips, and it was impossible to wear nice clothes. I was EXTREMELY unhappy (had been thin & muscular all my life, and got this body after 2 babies – 1 right after the other – etc etc).

Immediately after the procedure, with swelling, fluid, etc I measured 35" waist (with compression garment on, with pads underneath) – I was elated.

There is a lot of pain – not during the procedure, but certainly afterward. At 10 days I am still mostly numb and a bit lumpy, and very painful to the touch, although moving around is totally easy now.

It does seem that swelling happens more in the week afterward – I looked better 1 day after, for instance, than I look now. Waist measurement right now is 36", without the compression garment.

My doctor's instructions advised a high-protein, low-carb diet for the next few months, otherwise I could regrow fat/stem cells and return to previous. So I will continue to report on how it goes, but I am pleased overall.

OH – and neck is still a little painful, but DEFINITELY more sculpted, without a doubt. No more Turkey chin!

i am 20 years old 5'5 and 165 pounds. i had tumescent lipo suction done awhile ago but was not happy with the results because i ended up with alot of lumps and bumps. my back rolls were still present and i had ALOT of loose skin around the abdomin.

so i saved money and after researching i wanted to do smart lipo. i ended up booking an appointment for lipo in the abdomen area, back rolls. side, love handles and the top abdomen.

i was under anesthetic because after my painful experience with tumescent i didn't want to be awake for anything.

after the procedure. i was in discomfort and pain, which was expected. it was hard to sleep.

i am currently on my fourth day and already planning to go back to work tomorrow.

i came back for the pre op yesterday and was happpy with the results.

my back rolls and any fat on my back is COMPLETELY gone. i didn't have much bruising whatsoever. the doctor did i real splendid job on my smart lipo. my stomach is still alittle bruised and tender but once it goes down. i will be getting much better results then i already have. alot of my LOOSE skin is healed and looks so much better. it looks much tighter and compressed.

i've been wearing the garment which is a pain in the butt but.

NO PAIN NO GAIN. i can't wait for everything to fully heal so i can see the FINAL RESULTS.

i'm very happy with the current results.

and very glad i chose the doctor i did.

Hello everyone! First of all thank you for all your sharing! Lord knows I have learned a lot today reading a lot of your comments.I am 51 yrs old,am also like 30 lbs overweight,all fat is concentrated at the stomach.I'm having the SmartLipo done next week wednesday,I"m concerned because I only took 3 days off from work for this procedure. From what I am reading, the lesser the amount of fat taken, the lesser the pain,swelling,and recuperation?? Should I wait for this procedure then?

What about the anesthesia? I read that some of you were experiencing pain during the procedure!

I am starting to get discouraged about it! The descriptions plus the assurances seem so … like …this procedure would be a piece of cake, but yet a lot of you say the discomforts are barely bearable.

I guess that if I go thru with this procedure, I will come back and comment as well.

I had Smartlipo to get rid of the saddlebags on my outer thighs that wouldn't go away with just diet or exercise. It was a simple procedure with minimal recovery and pain. Completely worth every penny because now I can fit into my clothes comfortably and my inner thighs don't rub together when I walk. I will definitely be going back after I'm done having kids to get my tummy done.

Dr. L and his assistant Lana had a great bedside manner and were extremely warm, welcoming, and proffesional.

I am 33 5'4" and 135 lbs.

It was uncomfortable but well worth it. I had two kids and after my second (gainng 80 lbs) I did not like the loose skin I had. I went to one doctor and he wanted me to get a tummy tuck which was out of the question considering I had two kids under the age of 3. I took off one day.

Day one, results were immediate

After one week I got some swelling

Week two the same, still wearing compression garmant

Week three I switched to spanks and still have numbness in the center of belly. I hope to have better results soon.

I did not loose weight but my overall apperance is totally different, no more muffin top. All of my pants fit well and I feel very confortable. I hope to continue to get better results.

well, two months post smart lipo and I can tell you the results only get worse. My skin is loose and I still have a large bump on the right of my belly button. My clothes do fit tight but I cannot get rid of this bump, it makes me feel odd when wearing a bathing suit.

I paid in full for smart lipo of the flanks, arms and inner thighs. I also paid in full for a complete tummy tuck. My issues are not with the results—but with my PS office staff that continue to price gauge me.

I was told that they would be running one of my credit cards for $7,380—instead they ran it for $7,830 ( when I went to them and showed them where they wrote 7,380, the PS's wife who runs the office, said that the $500 was for a discount on multiple procedures that was applied towards the initial charge of $11,500)

As I was having my smart lipo done–my PS said he was conservative and would rather not take too much off–since we could always do that at another time. He said this in every area.

So I went back to have him take more out (because we agreed there wasn't much difference in my thighs from the before and after).

All is fine…until the secretary asks for $500 when I am leaving. I said I am not paying anything, I already paid for the procedure in full-this was still part of the initial procedure since he was admittingly conservative with removal. The secretary actually told me to just pay $250, I said no. She said, "how about $150 and I am sure Chris (PS's wife) will let it go".

I said no. Definitely getting a feeling of unprofessionalism. The secretary winked and said she would talk to Chris, while I am looking at her in disbelief.

Now I get a bill ( 3 months later )for $450, with a note attached to go to collection. What do I do? I have heard this PS's office has done this to someone else, so I feel that it is the principal AND I now am not comfortable going back to him for his "ONE FREE TOUCH UP" that they advertise. I feel that I should take legal action, and possibly turn the office into a medical board (he is a board certified physician)…but I am not sure how to do it. Any ideas? I am really frustrated—I know whats right and wrong, and this is definitely WRONG.

I had the typical "love handles" that I could not get rid of by working out several times a week and eating right. I had read about smartlipo and had some hestitation with the procedure but after research and a consultation, I felt assured that they could be reduced to minimal. The smart lipo consultant before the procedure was extremely thorough and when I had the procedure, I was prepared and nothing was a surprise. The doctor and staff was extremely nice, confident and knowledgable and the procedure went very well. I'll have you know, it was been 8 months since my procedure and my love handles are officially gone. I would highly recommend this procedure.

I've wanted this done for a long time and although I was very nervous, I'm so glad I went through with it, and am equally glad it was Dr. R who did the procedure.

Regarding my procedure:Smartlipo of the neck:I had this done in May, 2010. I worked closely with Dr.R's assistant Rebecca. She is amazing. She worked with me (put up with me) regarding available date inquires, financials, and procedure information in general. I met with Dr. R and we discussed what my hopes were, regarding my neck.

I am 37 years old, a bit over weight, and had a double chin going on. It wasn't even exactly a double chin (well, it was that too) but I felt it was a bit like a turkey neck where I didn't have much of a jaw-line definition and rather my neck was full from the tip (bottom) of my chin to my lower neck. Dr. R agreed that Smartlipo would be a good procedure to help remedy this and bring me some good results. He was right.

The procedure went great. I met Dr. R at the South West Surgical Center (Byron Center/M6 area) and he came in to see me just before they were to bring me back to the operating type room. I was very nervous (almost cancelled) but seeing him prior really helped me relax and to remember how much I wanted this done and how much I trusted him and his skills.

One of the things I loved about all of this is that I was given local (I THINK that's the right word) numbing medication. I was awake the entire time, but with the series of shots of pain medicine I received in the neck area, I felt nothing. The shots were uncomfortable, but extremely worth it. A) to be awake (costs less) and B) to feel nothing. Both were very important to me.

The procedure took about and hour and 1/2, the best I can remember. I kept my eyes closed most of the time and just let Dr. R do his thing. They kept me very warm and made sure I was comfortable during the entire process. Music was playing and the staff was very comfortable, relaxed and competent. I was aware of Dr. R's movements and use of his laser tool(s), but again I felt nothing and was so happy, and in disbelief, that I was actually having it done.

When Dr. R was done, he explained to me what all he had completed, and gave me a few inspiring words on how well it went. I then went back to the room I had first been in to recover for a bit. I was dressed and discharged within 1/2hr. I had a compression bandage around my chin, neck, cheeks and it went over the top of my head. It felt good having it on as I felt it would really help hold my neck in tight, as it is supposed to do.

Over the next few days I did well. I swelled just a bit, but nothing even anyone else noticed. I bruised a bit on my lower neck, but again I was able to cover it with a little foundation and no one noticed. I had the procedure done on a Thursday and wore the compression head piece Thursday thru Monday morning until I had to go to work. I don't think it was necessary to wear it that long but again, it just "feels good" to have your neck held tight.

Over the next couple of weeks I saw a great amount of improvement in my neck. I kept thinking "well, this is probably where my results will stop", and I was happy. But then it would progress even more. Through that next two week time frame, as the swelling went down, my neck did look a bit "bumpy". The best I can describe it is it looked like it had a faint "8-pack". This only lasted a week or so, and was not noticeable to anyone else.

If you are anything like me, you want to know how long it will be, if you get the procedure done, until you can tell you had it done/love the results/not be bruised, nor swelled, etc. I would say it took 1 month to have most bruising (very faint) and swelling (faint) done. And the effects of the procedure progressed over 2 – 3 months. The end results is my neck looking like what I look like when Im 30lbs lighter.

I absolutely love what Dr. R did for me. He is so kind and genuine and TALENTED. He is extremely skilled and I trust him completely. It was a simple choice to choose him to do my body-jet abdominal liposuction. I will review that shortly.

I'm 32 yrs old, 5'3, weighed 153lbs, and I wear a size 8 pre-op. I run 5days a week and constantly worked out, but couldn't lose the belly fat nor the back rolls. So for this reason I decided to have smart-lipo.

I had my procedure yesterday. I had general anesthesia so i was asleep the entirer time. When i woke up and the meds had wore off I was in alot of pain, but the nurse gave me a pain shot right away. I experienced alot of draining the day of surgery. I haven't seen my result yet, because i have to wear a garment and foam padding for 2days before i can remove it. My Dr was great, he called me the night of my surgery to check on me. I had 3000cc's of fat removed and after surgery the nurses where telling me how tiny my waist was and how they were so jealous. I'm excited to see.

The 3rd day post-op. This was the day I could remove my garment and shower. I can say, i was very pleased!!. I'm still draining and very sore. I've been taking my pain meds and celebrex the doctor prescribed alone with the Arnica product.

Had my week post-op visit last week and the Doctor stated that my progress was going great. My waist is small to date, even though, he said i still had alot of swelling. If I'm this satisfied now, I can't wait until after the 4months to see my final results.

Today is my 14th day post-op and I'm still very sore.
